Eddie had a quite successful show career with a lot of Best Of Breed wins at open shows also a Best In Show and had a few wins at championship shows, his best being a Best Of Breed and Group 4 at the Birmingham National Show 2000. He had been a P.A.T. dog for six years and had passed the Bronze Good Citizen Award. He had been temperament tested excellent. He was a proven stud dog and had sired 3 litters.

13 June 2006

Eddie, our oldest dog collapsed yesterday (Tuesday) morning. This morning (Wednesday), he was still on his bed, still unable to walk, so we had to put him to sleep. We have dug a big hole in the paddock and buried him there. We are going to buy a tree and plant it on top as a sign of remembrance.
